We reside at Midway, Boone County, Missouri.

I am a third generation Professional Land Surveyor with over 38 years of experience serving Boone, Cooper, Howard, Callaway, Randolph, Lincoln Counties and other communities in Central Missouri. I was in Junior High School when I started working on the field crew for my Dad who was the owner of Patchett & Company Land Surveying here in Columbia. I did field work, drafting of surveys and started learning all aspects of the profession at that point. After his passing in 2014, I worked for a couple of other Land Surveyors in the Columbia area for a few years and briefly as an Abstractor for Continental Title Company. Residential Lot Surveys

These are often the most affordable type of surveys that I do. As a land owner, it is imperative that you know where your property starts and stops. Before you build a fence or plant expensive trees and shrubs or have landscaping work done, be sure where you stand. It is peace of mind for a small cost. For most of us, our property is the single largest investment we will make in our lives and you should be aware of your boundaries.

Tract Splits

These surveys are done when a person wants to separate a piece of land from a parent tract to either sell or possibly refinance to free up the balance of a property for resale or other. Within Boone County, there are several rules, conditions and restrictions to follow when separating a tract from a parent tract and a person would need a Professional Land Survey to guide you through the process. This would include, Administrative Surveys, Family Transfers, Minor and Major Plats. In other surrounding counties without the restrictions of Planning and Zoning, this process is of course, much easier and less expensive.

Boundary Surveys

This type of survey is simply what it states. A survey to verify the existing boundaries of your property no matter what the size or acreage.

ALTA/ACSM Surveys

These surveys are often the most inclusive, the most detailed and generally the most expensive. Most of the time, this type of survey is required for larger properties that are going through a major refinancing.

My final bill will perhaps be the same or lower than the estimate, however it will never be higher, something I learned from my Dad years ago.
